Orbitwerks was established in 2006, taking over operations from it's European origin Global Information Technologies GmbH, which was originally established as a holding company for cutting-edge technology ventures in Europe. Today, Orbitwerks is more akin to a Think-Tank/Incubator for break-through ideas in the intersection of art, science, and technology. The main operational areas are Orbitwerks Labs and the monetization of research projects through Orbitwerks Services.
