This project is focused on research into OWL-DL based ontologies to target vertical search applications. The vertical example we are exploring is food, however, we are not concentrating on recipes but the interrelationships of ingredients, and preparations within their cuisine orbits. |

Aside from constantly fighting for funding, public health initiatives are facing unique challenges; researchers and managers are usually geographically dispersed and lack the IT infrastructure that enables state-of-the-art collaboration. Small and medium businesses are spending an un-proportional amount of money and resources on their information infrastructure, only to find themselves continually lagging behind in technology enablement. This Orbitwerks Labs research project is targeting an all-inclusive combination of hardware and software that offers a viable package to handle the entire infrastructure requirements of a professional enterprise: voice, e-mail, web, collaboration tools, wiki, project tracking, etc. The targeted field of application is businesses between 2 and 50 employees. |
